The Code Blue Concert was a Rockin’ Success!

The Code Blue Concert was a Rockin' Success!

Last Friday evening, we had the pleasure of enjoying great music provided by UCC member Bill Howland and his band, Code Blue. The concert took place on our patio, and we enjoyed seeing both current and visiting members in attendance.

tower 2

It was such an incredible feeling to walk up the main mall towards the tower and through the historic “Six Pack,” hearing the music saturate every corner – a true Austin experience. As several tours of aspiring Longhorns and their parents walked through the area, we can only imagine they thought the same thing!

tables 2

We had a table set out for attendees to learn about some of our local service opportunities, including Casa Marianella, Mobile Loaves and Fishes, and Micah 6 Austin. These are truly amazing organizations, and we encourage you to visit their websites to learn about their missions and find out how you can get involved.

side view

You could tell it was Finals Week at UT by the hordes of students heading to and from the PCL Library. Some took a quick break to enjoy a popsicle and some good music.

Others – graduating seniors – celebrated the end of their college careers by popping champagne across the street in the Littlefield Fountain for their senior pictures. We were happy to provide the background music for such a fun and exciting time in their lives!

It was a sunny and warm day, but Sway Water and Steel City Pops kept us cool and hydrated, and we’re so thankful they came out to party with us.
