Melanie completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance from UT-Austin in May 2017. While a student at UT, Melanie could be found performing on the famous Visser-Roland tracker organ in Bates Recital Hall and also energizing the crowd at Longhorn baseball games as the Disch-Faulk Field organist. She earned her B. Mus from the University of Utah and her M.M. from Brigham Young University, in organ performance. Melanie is one of only a handful of people approved to perform on the Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle organ in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she participates in recitals showcasing one of the largest organs in the world. Melanie has recently taken up Aikido and enjoys reading, quilting, and horseback riding when she is not practicing the organ. Melanie joins the staff of UCC by way of Bountiful First Baptist Church (Utah) and Grace Lutheran Church (Round Rock).
